The 6th international congress on physics of radiation-matter interactions (pirm-vi'2018)

Sciences exactes et naturelles
Dates: 07/05/2018 - 09/05/2018

Lieu: Faculty of Sciences and Technologies, Abdelmalek Essaadi University

At the occasions of the Abdelmalek Essaadi University’s 28th anniversary and the International Day of Light (May 16, 2018) in partnership with Chouaib Doukkali University, the Research team in Applied Physics of the Tangier Faculty of Sciences and Technologies is organizing the 6th International Congress on Physics of Radiation-Matter Interactions (PIRM-VI'2018) themed "Science for sustainable development".

This event is the result of a series of PIRM conferences that began in 1995 in El Jadida and later organized by other Moroccan institutions. Each of these conferences was beneficial for the organizing institution, as it allowed national students and researchers to participate and establish links with several specialists from several countries (Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, Canada, Ivory Coast, Spain, United States, France, Lebanon, Palestine, Senegal, Tunisia ...), and led to the establishment of several bilateral agreements, exchanges of Professors and supervision of the theses in co-supervision. Participation in conferences has always been very satisfactory and varies between 150 and 340 national and international researchers.

The sixth international congress PIRM-VI’2018 aims to bring together researchers, industrials and students in the area of radiation-Matter Interaction, to strengthen and develop exchange between the Universities and Industry in the national and international frame, to present and discuss recent developments in the field, to promote scientific research to meet national and international interests, to encourage young researchers to present, to communicate and publish their recent research, and to develop cooperation between scientists in one hand and industrials on the other hand.

The format of the three-day congress will include plenary conference, oral and poster presentations, demonstrations and many opportunities for discussion. Invited submissions will cover all areas of radiation-matter interactions in physics, astronomy, chemistry, biology and geology.
